We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to
join our team
as a Kitchen Assistant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our
kitchen operations
and ensuring the smooth running of our restaurant.
You will
be mostly helping with taking orders for customers, using a phone to take deliveries and a point-of-sale system on the computer to record the orders, as well as be labelling and packaging orders as they come (
attention to detail
is important!!).
Duties:
– Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes
– Help with meal preparation by following recipes and portion guidelines
– Handling a cash register/ point-of-sale system, taking orders as needed
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure
efficient workflow
and timely completion of tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
– Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices

Ability to
work in a
fast-paced environment
and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong
attention to detail
and ability to follow instructions accurately (you will be packing orders with no room for mistakes, so accuracy is very important)- Excellent
communication skills
and ability to work well within a team, as you will be dealing with customers and their requests
