Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiatic and dedicated Kids Summer Camp Coordinator to join our team for the Canada Summer Jobs program. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and interested in fostering a fun, safe, and educational environment during the summer months. The coordinator will oversee daily camp activities, ensure participant safety, and support a positive experience for all children involved. Prior experience in early childhood education, tutoring, or teaching is highly valued. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on children’s summer experiences.
Duties
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily camp activities tailored to children’s interests and developmental levels
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children attending the camp
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces and materials
- Support children in participating in group activities, games, arts and crafts, and educational sessions
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaging environment that encourages creativity and social interaction
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive camp atmosphere and address any issues promptly
Skills
- Experience in tutoring, teaching, or early childhood education is preferred
- Strong ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage children, parents, and team members
- Organizational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for creating a fun learning environment
- Ability to lead by example while maintaining safety standards at all times

Pay: $15.00-$22.00 per hour
