Seasonal Key Holder / Supervisor—Job Opportunity
(LOOKING FOR DAYTIME & WEEKEND STAFF FOR THE SEASON (APRIL to END OF NOVEMBER).
Holy Mackerel—A Whimsical Maritime Emporium—opened in May 2023 in iconic Peggy’s Cove. This exciting new retail shop features a curated collection of high-end crafts and other products by Atlantic Canadian artisans, showcasing the best the region has to offer to Nova Scotians as well as to the more than many 750,000 visitors from around the world who travel to Peggy’s Cove each year.
We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Key Holder / Supervisor with a proven record of success to join our team. Positive, energetic, and self-motivated, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn about the products we sell and the artisans behind them and have the ability to effectively share that knowledge with other team members and customers, alike.
Candidate attributes should include:
* Experience in retail best practices an asset, including point-of-sale systems (Squareis an asset), customer service, and merchandising.
* The ability to work independently while fostering a respectful team environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with both staff and customers.
* The desire to meet or exceed seasonal sales goals and the skill to motivate other team members to do the same.
* A minimum 2 years of experience in retail management.
Holy Mackerel—A Whimsical Maritime Emporiumwill be open to the public from May to end of October, with possible weekend openings until mid-December.
Schedule: TBD—will include weekdays and weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
