About the Role
This is a hands-on, shop-floor-first role for someone early in their career who wants to build real experience in manufacturing, machining, and operations. You will work directly with CNC machines, Robotics, tooling, and production systems while also supporting coordination and execution across the business. This role requires someone who is comfortable working on the floor, solving problems, staying organized, and taking ownership.
If you are looking for a desk-only or purely administrative role, this position will not be a fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
Production & Equipment Support
- Assist with CNC machine setup, changeovers, and operation
- Support robot and automated equipment operation
- Troubleshoot basic production issues and escalate when needed
Tooling & Shop Readiness
- Manage and organize the tool crib (inventory, tracking, readiness)
- Assemble and prepare tooling for production
- Ensure tools and materials are ready ahead of scheduled jobs
Quality & Process Control
- Perform first-part and in-process inspections
- Support NCR containment and corrective actions
- Maintain attention to detail to prevent defects and rework
Shop Operations & 5S
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Drive 5S standards and continuous improvement on the floor
- Support basic equipment maintenance and shop improvements
Systems & Coordination
- Assist with production tracking and system updates
- Provide basic troubleshooting for shop-floor IT and equipment
- Support scheduling, follow-ups, and execution with leadership

- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
- Willingness to be on the shop floor daily (not a desk-only role)
- Organized, reliable, and able to follow through on tasks
- Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable taking direction and executing with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Background (Assets)
- Exposure to CNC machining, manufacturing, or trades
- Experience with tools, assembly, or mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of quality inspection or measurement tools
- Interest in automation, robotics, or industrial systems
- Basic IT or networking troubleshooting ability
