Role Description
The Junior Estimator will support project teams by assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Key responsibilities include analyzing project specifications, performing material take-offs, soliciting vendor and subcontractor bids, and preparing tender submissions. The role also involves collaborating with team members to develop cost-effective strategies and ensuring timely delivery of estimates. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in estimating processes, cost analysis, and quantity take-offs
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and basic engineering concepts
- Experience in using estimation software, basic CAD tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work on-site in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area
- Educational background in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in the construction industry or a similar role is an asset
