Position SummaryWe are seeking a Junior Electrical/Instrumentation (E&I) Technologist to support in a secondment position in the Edmonton area. This position will assist in the coordination, successful implementation and completion of projects. The successful candidate will report to the Electrical/Instrumentation Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Performing Construction Management for subcontractors in the field with instrument and electrical installations
Ensuring daily Labour, Equipment and Materials (LEMs) are accurate, signed, and submitted to the Project Manager
Preparing and reviewing ongoing field progress and inspection reports throughout the lifecycle of the construction phase
Maintaining tracking logs for purchase requisitions, project scope changes, RFIs, change orders, etc
Assisting in the tracking of progress and quality of work being performed by subcontractors, suppliers, and field trades
Effectively and accurately communicating relevant project information to the client and project team
Assisting the Construction Services Manager with drafting and issuance of project RFPs, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and progress invoicing
Providing critical information to the Construction Services Manager in the issuance of contracts, letters of intent, purchase orders, etc.
Coordinating and generating Requests for Information (RFIs)
Assisting the Construction Services Manager in the review of contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval and prepare subcontractor bid comparison tables as needed
Reviewing client contract change documents to verify accuracy and completeness
