Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Wireman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure is safe, efficient, and compliant with all relevant codes and standards. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to complete installations.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage circuits to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to maintain safety and compliance during all electrical work.
- Conduct renovation projects by updating or replacing outdated electrical systems on construction sites.
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams to coordinate project tasks effectively.
Requirements
- Valid journeyman electrician license or certification demonstrating proven experience in the electrical trade.
- Extensive industrial electrician experience of at least 4 years with a focus on complex wiring systems and troubleshooting.
- Commercial electrician experience preferred, with knowledge of construction site procedures and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage circuits, and power tools necessary for installation work.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, PLC programming basics, and schematics interpretation required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including framing carpentry or handyman work as needed on-site.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, renovation processes, and construction practices across diverse environments. Pay: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour
