Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive carpentry expertise to execute high-quality projects across various sectors, including restoration, remodeling, and new construction. Duties
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as framing, siding, roofing, drywall, and flooring using hand tools and power tools
- Perform trim carpentry including door hanging, fixture installation, cabinetry, and molding work with precision
- Engage in concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and plastering to support structural integrity
- Conduct restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, and general building repairs
- Measure and cut materials accurately for custom fabrication using woodworking techniques and CNC machinery when applicable
- Assist with construction estimating and material ordering to ensure project efficiency and cost control
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project planning
- Proficiency in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture installation
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding safety procedures, and heavy lifting techniques
- Practical experience in roofing, siding installation (including stucco), flooring installation (tile and hardwood), and drywall finishing
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings to execute complex projects efficiently
- Familiarity with water damage restoration processes, mold remediation techniques, and general renovation practices
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems integration, masonry work, and metal fabrication is a plus
- Skilled in working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols; experience in the restoration industry is advantageous
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
