Job Description:
Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
Bake mixed dough and batters
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Prepare special orders
Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
Draw up production schedules
Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
Test ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each product meets food safety and
quality controls
Inspect kitchen and food service areas
Ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for other shifts
Clean kitchen areas
Operate machinery, kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, bakewares, patry blenders or
cutters and others
Keep records related to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Participate in product development
Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school is required
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as Baker or Pastry Cook is required. If candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary certificate is required.

Important information:
Flexibility in schedule is required. Candidates must have availability to work weekends and holidays. The shifts per day are as follows and will be assigned depending on the business needs: 5 AM to 2:00 PM
6 AM to 3:00 PM
7 AM to 4:00 PM
9 AM to 6:00 PM
A 30-minute unpaid lunch break will be provided as well as 2 paid healthy breaks of 15 minutes. Overtime may be required.
