The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-caliber IT Manager to lead our core technology operations in a high-visibility role. This is a "best of both worlds" position: you will drive operational discipline across our infrastructure while acting as a key technical advisor to our Executive Leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communication: Act as the bridge between technical operations and the C-Suite, translating complex risks and trends into actionable business insights.
  • Infrastructure Oversight: Own the health and security of server, network, and endpoint environments, including patch management and capacity planning.
  • Governance & Risk: Ensure all IT operations align with compliance standards; manage vulnerability assessments, disaster recovery testing, and backup protocols.
  • Vendor & Asset Management: Direct the lifecycle of IT assets, manage hardware/software procurement, and maintain high-performing relationships with external data centers and partners.
  • Budgeting: Manage departmental forecasting, cost control, and procurement strategies.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead incident management, provide escalation support for complex issues, and produce weekly/monthly performance metrics.

Who You Are

  • The Communicator: You possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You feel comfortable presenting to executives and defending a strategy.
  • The Leader: You have at least 1-2 years of experience managing a team or acting as a high-level Team Lead with direct oversight of people and vendors.
  • The Architect: You have a deep understanding of networking, security, and enterprise systems, specifically in regulated or security-conscious environments.
  • The Disciplinarian: You believe in documentation, rigorous testing, and proactive monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, IT, etc.).
  • Proven experience in IT Operations Management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of infrastructure, risk management, and disaster recovery.
  • Ability to balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on technical execution.

Compensation & Work Model

  • Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 per annum
  • Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days per week in King St W, Toronto, Ontario.
