Purpose

of the position:

* The IT Administrator oversees organizations’ computer systems and manages IT teams.

This may involve maintaining information systems and networks, upgrading and troubleshooting, and installing new hardware and software.

The IT Administrator will also back up data and manage network security.

*

Responsibilities:

** Manage and maintain technology equipment and asset inventory, including procurement, tracking, and disposal.

* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.

* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and peripherals.

* Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

* Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and reliable technology infrastructure across all locations.

* Monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary upgrades.

* Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance, security, and optimal performance.

* Assist in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

* Provide training and guidance to staff on technology-related matters.

* Stay current with IT trends and technologies and recommend enhancements to meet business needs.

* Ability to work with older technological systems.

Education and Experience:

** Diploma or degree in Information Technology or a related field.

* 2 – 3 years of experience in related roles.

* Certification(s) in relevant IT technologies (e.g., Comp TIA A+, ITIL).

* Familiarity with Windows, Windows Server OS 2012 and newer, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Quickbooks, Spice Works Help Desk, MS Exchange, mail protocols (IMAP, SMTP, Active Synch), and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

* Experience in Active Directory

* Knowledge and experience with network topologies and network equipment.

* Working knowledge of VMWare, VM Player, ESX, or ESXi.

Qualifications and Skills:

** Proven experience in managing technology equipment and asset inventory.

* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.

* Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.

* Familiar with Apple i OS and Android OS.

* Laptop and desktop repair.

* Ability to respond to IT-crises (ransomware attack, server failure, network failure, server OS crash).

* Proven experience in thinking creatively and identifying unconventional solutions in leveraging a

diverse

pool of resources.
