The role of the Technical Architect is to plan, organize and manage projects related to the implementation of new hardware, network and operating systems and supporting software infrastructures and services.  Project deliverables will support the business applications and data resources of the ministry and share common technology components in a secure environment.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree in a computer science related field and 2 years of related experience; OR

Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field and 3 years of related experience; OR

Diploma in a computer science related field and 4 years related experience; OR

Certificate or coursework in a computer science related field and 5 years related experience; OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience includes the following:

Experience conducting technical feasibility studies and developing technology plans and strategies.

Experience in analysis, data modelling, design, and implementation of complex applications.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
