Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and landscape health. Your expertise will help clients achieve lush, thriving lawns and gardens through precise system design and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Install new irrigation systems according to design specifications using hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment such as excavators.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing irrigation systems to prevent malfunctions and optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot issues with irrigation components including valves, controllers, pipes, and sprinkler heads; perform repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into overall landscape projects.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry best practices while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Educate clients on system operation, seasonal adjustments, and water conservation techniques.
- Keep detailed records of installations, repairs, parts used, and service reports for each project.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex irrigation systems.
- Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health and water requirements.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and system schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with water conservation techniques and modern irrigation technology.
