Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems using various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform timely repairs to ensure optimal operation.
- Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to achieve proper coverage and water efficiency across diverse landscape areas.
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into overall landscape maintenance plans.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues within irrigation controllers and related systems, ensuring reliable performance.
- Assist with general lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticultural tasks to support healthy plant growth.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, system layouts, repairs made, and parts used for accurate reporting and future reference.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair irrigation systems efficiently.
- Familiarity with irrigation technology, including controllers, valves, pumps, and sensors.
- Experience in lawn care, landscaping, and general landscape maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery including excavators safely for installation or repair purposes.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles to support plant health alongside irrigation efforts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward system troubleshooting and maintenance. Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
