We have an immediate opening for a Inventory Control Specialist with our Global manufacturing client in London, Ontario. Our ideal candidate loves manufacturing, has exceptional SAP knowledge and strong analytical skills with the ability to communcate effectively with all organizational levels in the plant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization with responsibility for monitoring and controlling inventory integrity through SAP including raw materials, WIP, finished goods and packaging
- Running daily/weekly inventory reports of raw materials, WIP, finished goods and packaging to discover/analyze discrepancies in the inventory data to improve inventory control systems
- Oversee cycle counting process and ensure compliance with established control process including weekly reporting
- Develop inventory dashboard to consolidate relevant monthly results including inventory loss (write offs, waste, reserve) as well as quality (holds, returns, claims)
- Support QA and Supply Chain by investigating cost implications and analysis of raw material substitutions
- Responsible for inventory write offs (raw material & finished goods) including investigation and root cause analysis to determine recommendations for any required corrective action
- Generate and prepare reports in SAP including thorough analysis with recommendations on inventory issues
- Reconcile and monitor inventory accuracy, investigating and resolving any errors or discrepancies in a timely manner
- Implement proactive measures and/or continuous improvements to ensure inventory discrepancies are prevented
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Supply Chain to support monthly financial close and lead and manage the inventory reserve process
- Track/monitor movement of materials making recommendations for corrective actions
- Work closely with Procurement and QA to manage the return to vendor process
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or equivalent in business or finance
- 7 years prior experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment is required
- Advanced experience with inventory management and cost accounting
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and understanding of data management
- Exceptional SAP knowledge, strong problem solver able to create solutions to challenges
- Able to communicate effectively with various organizational levels
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
