Our client, a privately-owned, Canadian food manufacturing company, is in urgent need of an Interim CIO to lead IT and bridge the gap to a new technology vision. This experienced executive will drive a critical transformation initiative by leading a thorough review of the entire technology function and implementing changes to drive system, process and people efficiencies. Proven success overseeing similar transformations of multi-division, multi-site organizations is a mandatory requirement.

The ideal leader will have strong,

hands-on

technology experience combined with the ability to develop and implement a strategic plan for change.

Key Account abilities:

Assess the current IT environment, infrastructure, team members and build an IT Roadmap for the next 3-5 years. This roadmap should cover staffing, security, systems, infrastructure, etc. and highlight risks and actions needed to address in the short term, medium term and long term.

Develop and present a business case for the new IT vision.

Create a central IT managed team across three divisions (that are currently decentralized), look for efficiencies, assess risks and implement changes and essentially set up the “proper” structure.

Evaluate, optimize and execute front and back-end infrastructure and architecture, Support integration work between business units.

Execute necessary changes of the new IT vision and manage delivery of timelines, assessment of risk and evaluation of ongoing strategy.

Understand business goals and translate them into building flexible systems that support high growth initiatives in logistics, operations/supply chain/manufacturing and distribution.

Collaborate with and provide advisory support to the

leadership

team in the assessment and recommendation of technologies that support organizational needs (including strategic system conversions and integrations).Lead, grow and develop a national team that is client and solution-focused;

Provide coaching support and mentorship to the IT team while operating as a

hands-on

project leader and executive liaison.

Create and manage robust operations review processes and measures, establishing service level objectives, measuring value creation, and implementing

continuous improvement

initiatives across solutions and services.

Establish effective resourcing models, leveraging internal and external people to deliver projects, changes, and technology operations across the company. Manage the application support strategy, deployment and ongoing business support.

Develop a process to manage the organization’s technology assets.

Develop and manage technology data governance and cyber security policies and enforcement, achieving a high level of governance and security standard.

Competencies and

Requirements:

10+ years of progressive experience leading IT teams through large transformations within medium to large multi-division, multi-site environments.

Demonstrated success overseeing complex enterprise project implementations and launches including ERP and CRM.Strong
