Position Summary
The Installation Technician is responsible for installing physical security equipment, electronic security systems, and branch automation equipment for financial institutions throughout Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. This position installs and programs alarm, CCTV, and access control systems, installs heavy equipment, completes project documentation, and delivers safe, professional, high-quality installations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Installation & Equipment
· Install safes, ATMs, drive-thru equipment, safe deposit boxes, and night depositories.
· Install and program alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
· Install physical security equipment and branch automation equipment.
Low-Voltage & Network Systems
· Pull, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling.
· Configure cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and network-connected security devices.
· Read installation drawings and project documentation.
Documentation & Customer Service
· Complete installation documentation and project closeout requirements.
· Communicate professionally with customers and provide training when needed.
Safety & Equipment
· Maintain company-issued vehicles, tools, and equipment.
· Follow company safety procedures and installation standards.
Required Qualifications
· Valid driver’s license required.
· Must pass a motor vehicle record review and background check.
· Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with alarm, CCTV, access control, or low-voltage systems preferred.
· Experience in construction, telecommunications, electrical work, low-voltage cabling, or related trades preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Intermediate computer skills.
· Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
· Demonstrated work ethic and willingness to learn new technologies.
· Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
Physical Demands
· Ability to climb ladders, work above ceilings, bend, kneel, crawl, and work indoors and outdoors.
· Ability to lift and move heavy equipment with assistance.
· Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance when required.
· Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments.
Travel Requirements
This position requires extensive overnight travel throughout Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Employees should expect overnight travel Monday through Friday on most weeks. Per diem is provided for qualifying travel.
