Are you a skilled carpenter ready to trade the seasonal grind for something steadier? Budget Blinds of Mid & Outer Cape Cod is hiring a Installation Leader — and if you’ve spent years working with your hands and have an eye for detail, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
You already have the skills. We’ll teach you the product.
We’re the largest custom window covering franchise in North America, serving customers from Barnstable to Provincetown. Our installers are the face of our business — the last person a customer sees before they fall in love with their new space. As Installation Leader, you’ll bring your trade experience to a senior role, set the standard for quality on every job, and help develop the installers working alongside you.
What the job looks like day to day
- Install blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery at residential and commercial properties across the lower Cape
- Lead and mentor a small installation crew, setting the tone for quality and professionalism
- Troubleshoot fitment issues and make adjustments or minor repairs as needed
- Arrive at each job site organized, prepared, and ready to represent the brand well
- Leave every job site clean and tidy
- Collect final payment and confirm customer satisfaction before wrapping up
- Report product deficiencies, damages, or inventory issues back to the team
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on trade experience — carpentry, finish work, or a similar background strongly preferred
- Sharp eye for detail — you notice when something is just slightly off
- Experience with window treatments is a plus; experience with soft treatments like drapery is highly desirable
- Comfortable leading others and taking ownership of job site quality
- Clear, friendly communicator with customers and teammates
- Natural problem-solver who works through challenges independently
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely work from a 12-foot ladder
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
