Injection Molding Process Technician – Second Shift (4:00pm – 12:00am, M-F)

Job Description:
*MUST HAVE SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE AS A PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING PROCESSOR*
Responsible for the proper set up, start up, and monitoring of injection molds and auxiliary equipment (such as, chillers, mold heaters, mold hot runner controllers, automation EOAT, sprue pickers and robots, and material drying and delivery systems).
Monitors and controls molding production to ensure quality, cycle time, and uptime and rejects/scrap targets are maintained at acceptable levels.
Sets up injection molds and related equipment for sample and production runs.
Starts up and cycles in mold in accordance with documented cycles and startup procedures.
Responsible for cycle time improvements and machine optimization.
Monitors cycle times and part quality.
Documents and record cycle information for future use.
Ensures that equipment and molds are operating in a safe and effective manner.
Troubleshoots and corrects problem processes.
Documents and reports mold and equipment related problems.
Creates Maintenance work orders for issues with all auxiliary equipment.
Creates Tooling work order for molds with quality issues or damaged components.
Responsible for initial start up of quality inspections (including first shot and following from production interruption restarts).
Performs Lot changes, line clearances, and executes production per schedule.
Assist to support Lean-Growth/Continuous Improvement Activities in respective areas.
Supports increased productivity and reduced scrap and material waste in an efficient & organized manner.
Ensures all equipment calibration is up to date.
Provides training for Mold Operators.
Pay Rate determined upon skill level.
Please note this role is for a Second Shift position with approximate weekly hours of 4:00pm – 12:00am, M-F. Some OT hours will likely apply, and training will take place during first shift hours (8:00am – 4:00pm, M-F)
