Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer for our afternoon shift with experience for our Hamilton location. Under the supervision of the Yard Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises.
Receive, sort and organize different types of non-ferrous metals
Classify the non-ferrous and establish the type of material
Properly weigh and track the material
Do general maintenance of the premises
Ensure the equipment in good condition
Data entry into the RECY system
Provide excellent customer service
Help with torch cutting if necessary
Preparing shipments and receiving equipment using forklift as required
Work with a safety oriented mindset
Qualifications
Experience in operating a forklift
Good computer skills
Experience in metal recycling
Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
Good physical fitness
Ability to work as a team
Excellent attendance and safety record.
