Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Jobs in Toronto at Century Home Fashions Inc.

Responsibilities:

· Makes sure safety is the number one priority

· Sets up sewing machines for daily use

· Operates sewing machines

· Immediately reports any machine issues during the shift

· Understands the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the sewing machines

· Immediately reports safety hazards associated with the sewing machines and around the factory

· Suggests ways to improve sewing processes

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills:

· Previous manufacturing experience as a sewer with single needle and serger experience

· Should be comfortable being cross-trained and working on a production line

· Understanding of sewing processes

· Attention to detail

· Willingness to work the afternoon shift (3:30pm to 12:00am)

· Workdays are between Monday and Friday. May occasionally work on Saturdays

· Willingness to help out in other areas of the factory if needed

· “Do it Right the First Time” mentality

· Team player
