The United Church of Canada seeks an Executive Minister to enhance Indigenous ministries and justice. This full-time position involves advocating for Indigenous communities’ rights and spiritual needs.

As a key leader within the Church, you’ll work alongside the National Indigenous Council to promote self-governance and reconciliation efforts. Your expertise in Indigenous cultures and trauma-informed practices will contribute to strategic governance and resource stewardship for Indigenous ministries. This role is pivotal in implementing justice initiatives that align with Truth and Reconciliation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Indigenous voices guide strategic initiatives

• Lead community engagement efforts towards healing and justice

• Mentor staff while fostering inclusive workplace culture

• Support development of Indigenous governance frameworks

• Amplify partnerships and collaboration across the Church

Requirements:

• Graduate theological education or equivalent background

• 7-8 years of leadership experience at national or regional level

• Deep understanding of Indigenous cultures and spiritual practices

• Strong organizational and change management skills

• Capable of fostering respectful relationships across diverse communities
