In this role, you will work closely with families needing additional assistance and contribute to maintaining or restoring family unity. The Family Wellness Worker will conduct necessary kinship searches and ensure compliance with the Child, Youth, and Family Services Act while incorporating culturally appropriate practices and values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate family reunification through kinship searches
• Support families to prevent child admission to care
• Conduct Intake and emergency Protection services
• Respond to on-call service needs as required
• Maintain adherence to the relevant policies and standards
Requirements:
• Minimum post-secondary education in related fields
• At least 3 years of experience in community services
• Preference for candidates with Anishinabe ancestry
• Class G Driver’s License with insurance and clean record
• Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Records Search
