Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IMC & Logistics Advocate to join our team and drive excellence. This position will serve as the primary advocate and relationship manager for all Independent Motor Carriers, ensuring compliance adherence and billing support. Also, provide logistic services for customers by taking orders, creating jobs in the dispatch system, and assisting logistics team as needed.
Responsibilities
IMC Advocacy
- Recruit, onboard, and retain qualified carriers to support business growth.
- Build long-term strategic partnerships with carrier networks.
- Develop programs that improve carrier satisfaction, communication, and retention.
- Act as the primary point of contact for carrier concerns, disputes, and operational issues.
- Facilitate conflict resolution between carriers and internal departments.
- Promote carrier engagement and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Identify opportunities to expand carrier capacity and geographic coverage.
- Develop, implement, and maintain carrier management and incident reporting.
- Implement carrier scorecards for performance metrics for carrier performance
IMC Compliance
- Build standardized onboarding procedures for new carriers.
- Establish processes for rate management, compliance tracking, and documentation management.
- Continuously improving operational systems to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
- Conduct audits and maintain compliance records.
Billing
- Manage carrier rate negotiations and confirmations.
- Ensure rate agreements are accurately documented.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
- Coordinate with accounting regarding carrier billing and payments.
- Advocate and document incidents involving customers and independent carriers.
Dispatch
- Assist with permitting and routing lowboy moves.
- Entering dispatches.
- Assist the dispatch team with various tasks.
- Provide logistic services for our customers by taking orders, creating jobs in the dispatch system, and assisting when needed.
Experience
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, motivated, team player, detailed, good listener, problem solver
- Excellent computer skills with experience in MS Word and MS Excel
- Logistics experience preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
