Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of ice cream flavours and toppings according to established recipes and standards
- Operate ice cream machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Serve customers with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and restocking supplies as needed
- Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods with effective time management
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene is advantageous
- Experience in serving customers, ideally within a hospitality or retail setting
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portion control
- Kitchen or culinary experience that demonstrates familiarity with food handling and preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- An enthusiastic attitude towards upselling and enhancing customer satisfaction
