We’re looking for someone who can run an F1 simulator, throw an axe, and make a room full of people feel like they’re having the best night of their lives. If that sounds like your kind of day, keep reading.
The Bunker Retro Gaming Lounge and AXED are two of the most fun spots in Blue Mountain Village, and we’re evolving. We’re hiring a hybrid staff member who will start out working at The Bunker, and then transition into a combined role as our two venues merge into one exciting space around mid-June. You’ll know going in that this role grows and changes — and we think that’s a pretty cool thing to be a part of.
What you’ll be doing (Phase 1 – The Bunker):
- Welcoming guests and making sure they’re having a great time from the moment they walk in
- Running and explaining our retro arcade units, F1 full-motion simulators, and credit kiosk system
- Serving drinks and keeping the bar area stocked and clean
- Operating our POS system and handling payments
- Helping facilitate group events like birthday parties, corporate nights, and team-building events
- Being the person in the room who knows how everything works and makes it all feel effortless
What you’ll be doing (Phase 2 – Combined Venue from mid-June):
- Coaching guests through axe throwing safely and with plenty of energy
- Running safety briefings and one-on-one instruction for all skill levels
- Leading tournaments and keeping the competitive atmosphere going for groups
- Running our F1 full-motion simulators alongside the axe-throwing experience
- Continuing to serve guests and facilitate group events in the combined space
What we’re looking for:
- Outgoing, high-energy personality — you genuinely enjoy talking to people
- 2 years of customer service or hospitality experience (required)
- 2 years of cash handling experience (required)
- Smart Serve certification (required — or must be obtained before start date)
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
- Confidence speaking to and entertaining groups
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability (this is non-negotiable — we’re in a busy tourist destination)
- Reliable commute to Blue Mountain Village or willingness to relocate
- Knowledge of F1 racing, simulators, gaming systems, or retro arcade games is a big bonus
- Axe throwing experience? Not required at all — we’ll teach you everything
