We are now seeking a Human Resources (HR) Generalist will play a pivotal role in managing HR functions within our unionized environment. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of labor relations,employee engagement, and HR best practices. The HR Generalist will work closely with union representatives, management, and employees to ensure a harmonious and productivework environment.

The Day to Day

Administer and manage HR policies, procedures, and programs incompliance with labor lawsandcollective bargainingagreements.

Support the management team in addressing concerns and facilitatingeffective communicationbetween management and union members.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure adiverseand talented workforce.

Support with branch full-cycle recruitment efforts including resume screening, interviews and onboarding.

Assist in the onboarding of new employees, reference checks, and scheduling

Support management with employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions and terminations, in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.

Collaborate with management on various projects and initiatives to improve HR service delivery.

Create and update records, employee files and spreadsheets

Coordinate office activities and processes to ensure smooth operations

What you bring

College Diploma in business admin or HR related field

2+ years of experience in a HR role

Previous experience working in a unionized environment.

Strong knowledge of labor laws,collective bargainingagreements, and HR best practices.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, andconflict resolutionskills.

Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Proficient with Microsoft Office word, Power Point and Excel

Experience working in an aviation environment is an asset.
