Full job description

Work collaboratively with other Health and Safety Clifford Team Members.

Ensure the continual growth of HSE within the Clifford Group of companies.

Stay current with industry trends and HSE related information industry and implement innovative systems into Clifford’s HSE program.

Participate in relevant IHSA training, CSA committees, or other.

Develop and maintain a positive and initiative-taking relationship with Clifford site personnel.

Report directly to HSE Manager.

WSIB Claims:

● Assist with managing individual claims

● Completing claims updates with corrective action taken and filing in appropriate locations

● Talk with WSIB personnel about certain claims

● Work with RTW workers (timesheets, productive work to do)

● Visit workers at home for training

Filing Data Entry:

● Keep up to date documents regarding workers Records Of Training (ROT”s).

● Prepare, print and laminate wallet cards

● Review ROT’s for workers ensuring expiry dates are monitored and notify when recertification is required

● Safety documentation to be filed and scanned

● Once a month calculate all safety documents from sites for “month end”

● Update and add new SDS when available

● Collect first aids, near miss/property damage, and incident reports, assist with follow up, complete reports and file in the appropriate locations

● Send out weekly Toolbox Talks (TBT’s) topics for the next week (developed and edit as needed)

● Collect data involving incidents, update safety action tracker

Author:

● Create inspection checklist booklets for site

● Edit and create new checklists

● Edit and create new documents upon request

● Create posters to go on site (Laminate and all)

● Prepare booklets for orientation (new and returning workers)

● Provide weather updates to Supervisors when required

Assist HSE Manager and HSE Coordinators:

● Assist with site inspections and visits

● Assist in setting up training programs for workers

● Assist with training for new employees

● Assist with the creation of new policies and/or procedures

Office H&S Rep:

● Monthly office/shop inspections

● Assist those who may have health and safety concerns around the office.

● Participate with the COR Audit

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $52,000.00-$56,000.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

French not required

Schedule:

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed
