We are seeking an HR Consultant to join our team and support our business operations by providing expert HR guidance and strategic solutions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies and best practices in alignment with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario’s Employment Standards Act (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and Human Rights Code.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning strategies.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace investigations.
- Conduct HR audits and risk assessments to improve operational efficiency.
- Support compensation, benefits administration, and total rewards strategies.
- Develop and facilitate HR training programs on compliance, leadership, and workplace culture.
- Stay up to date with employment law changes and HR industry trends to provide proactive recommendations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- CHRP or CHRL designation (or in progress) preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a consulting or corporate HR role.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and analytics tools is an asset.
