Position Summary
M’akola’ s Housing Services Team provides centralized services to applicants, tenants, and property management staff for all aspects of applications processing, tenant selections, subsidy calculations, and maintenance requests, and will work cooperatively in a team environment to provide prompt, thorough, and accurate service. The Housing Services Clerk is assigned work as required based on changing business needs and priorities.
This position is full-time, permanent, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, based out of the Admin & Finance Office in Langford. This position starts at $27.00 per hour.
Requirements
3 years of office experience and at least 1 year providing excellent customer service and detailed information to the public
Post-secondary courses in office or business administration
Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act or willingness to learn
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience providing service in a Contact Centre environment an asset
Experience working in and with the Indigenous community would be an asset
Other
Provide a clear Criminal Record Check prior to hiring, cost covered by MHS
First Aid Level 1 certificate, cost covered by MHS
WHMIS Certificate, cost covered by MHS
