What This Position is About:

Reporting to Senior Director, Facilities Services the Housing & Conference Services Assistant is responsible for coordinating the operational aspects of the Haliburton Residence properties to support the success of students and guests living in residence.

This includes, but is not limited to, residence intake process, front line customer service, and event support to ensure the smooth operation of conference programs, campus events, and housing-related activities.

The role supports front-line service delivery by assisting visitors, conference guests, students, and staff while helping coordinate event logistics, administrative tasks, and resource management.

The incumbent shares responsibility to assist students with services related to Campus One Card and Food Services.


Work Schedules:

Scheduled hours will vary week to week.

This position has been designated as on-campus and is expected on-site 100% of the time.

What We Are Looking For:

Completion of secondary school and some additional job related training. Education in business, hospitality, event management and/ or equal or relevant experience.

A minimum of up to six (6) months of work experience:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and external guests
  • Basic computer skills including email, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
