Located at the head of Picton Bay, the Picton Harbour Inn has a newly landscaped waterfront including 10 boat slips with access to shore power and water.

THE POSITION
We are looking for a skilled Housekeeping Technician to attend to our facilities with care and attention to detail. Candidates should have housekeeping experience but may apply with a desire to learn.
The ideal Housekeeping Technician is efficient yet details oriented, independent and able to work under tight timelines.
The position pays $20.95/hr plus yearly bonusing for year round employees. Available shifts are approximately 8:00am to 3:00pm. Weekend availability is a must. The position is seasonal with part or full time hours.
Responsibilities include:
Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
Making sure all rooms are cleaned and in tip top condition in time for guest arrival.
Liaising with the head housekeeper when rooms are ready for inspection.
Cleaning and maintaining any cleaning equipment and supplies.
Deal with reasonable complaints and requests with professionalism and patience.
Notify superiors of any damages and deficiencies.
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of work areas and all surrounding public use areas.
Adhering strictly to rules regarding health and safety and being aware of company policies.
Know safety and emergency procedures and be aware of accident prevention policies
Requirements of those applying:
Proven experience as a housekeeping technician (recommended, but not required).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Friendly manner is a must.
Ability to follow and enforce all company policies.
Excellent physical condition and stamina.
