In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them with enthusiasm and ensuring they feel seen from the moment they arrive. Your friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills will help create a lively, inviting atmosphere that keeps guests excited to return. Duties
- Greet guests with a genuine smile and positive attitude, making them feel immediately welcomed and appreciated
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using Opentable
- Answer phone inquiries promptly, providing accurate information about wait times, menu options, and special events
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of guest seating and service
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area that reflects the restaurant’s welcoming environment
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns professionally and courteously, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone
- Happy demeanor and enjoys being around people and meeting new people
- Open availability and must be able to work on the weekends
