Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in need. As a Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors and individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities:
– Provide personal care and assistance to individuals in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care settings
– Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
– Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
– Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
– Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals
– Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
– Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing living spaces
– Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
Skills:
– Previous experience in nursing home, home care, or caregiving is preferred
– Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
– Familiarity with dementia care and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with memory loss
– Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing hospice care
– Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment for clients
– Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
– Ability to provide quality patient care while respecting privacy and maintaining confidentiality
– Flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of clients
Requirements:
Vulnerable sectors check, CPR/SFA Level C, Food handlers and Medication
