Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Energy Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in HVAC systems with a passion for solar energy. You will consult with clients to analyze their energy usage, perform site audits, and design integrated solutions that blend high-efficiency heating/cooling with solar generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Consultation & Sales: Meet with clients to assess their energy needs, conduct site audits for both HVAC and solar feasibility, and present tailored, cost-effective solutions.
- System Design & Proposals: Utilize software to design residential/commercial solar PV systems and select high-efficiency HVAC equipment.
- Energy Analysis: Review energy bills and usage trends to calculate energy consumption and demand savings associated with proposed improvements.
- Rebate Guidance: Guide customers through available energy efficiency rebates, tax credits, and financing programs.
- Project Pipeline Management: Act as the primary point of contact from initial consultation through to system installation, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sales and consulting within the HVAC, solar, or renewable energy industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong technical understanding of building envelope principles, residential mechanical systems, and solar PV technology.
- Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., [PVsyst, SAM, HelioScope]) and energy modeling software is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to homeowners.
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable conducting on-site inspections (rooftops, mechanical rooms).
- HRAI Certification or NABCEP Certification is a strong asset.
