Responsibilities:
-As a class A lead you will coach new drivers
-Cover drivers on PTO
– Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including box trucks, with a focus on delivering goods to customers in a timely manner
– Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured for transport
– Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
– Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during deliveries
– Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any mechanical issues to the appropriate channels
– Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles
Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license CDL A with a clean driving record. No moving violations.
– 3 to 5 years Experience driving commercial vehicles, including box trucks and/or vehicles with manual transmissions
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading cargo
– Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus
– Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
– Ability to follow directions, work independently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
