About This Position
We are seeking an experienced High School English Teacher to teach students in Grades 8–12. This role focuses on helping students strengthen their reading comprehension, academic writing, literary analysis, and critical thinking skills within the BC Curriculum.
Whether students are preparing for English 10–12, AP or IB or SAT English, or university applications, we are looking for a teacher who can inspire confidence and help students reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do
- Teach English Language Arts (Grades 8–12)
- Support students in academic reading and essay writing
- Teach literary analysis and critical thinking
- Prepare engaging and well-organized lessons
- Provide brief written feedback after each lesson
- Communicate professionally with parents when needed
- Work collaboratively with other educators
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least three years of English teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the BC English Curriculum
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience teaching Academic Writing, AP, IB, or university preparation is an asset
- A genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students

Compensation is based on teaching experience, qualifications, demonstrated teaching ability, and assigned responsibilities.Exceptional candidates with extensive experience or program leadership expertise may be considered for alternative compensation arrangements.
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
