*Hifz & Islamic Studies Teacher* *Job Type:* Part-time Timings: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Salary: $20–$30 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and Ijazah certification.
*Job Summary* The Islamic Academy of Markham is seeking a dedicated and passionate Hifz & Islamic Studies Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will teach students in Grades 1–4 through a structured morning program that combines Quran memorization (Hifz) and Islamic Studies. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, nurturing learning environment while supporting students’ academic, spiritual, and personal development.
*Responsibilities* – Deliver engaging lessons tailored for Grades 1–4, balancing core Quran memorization with interactive Islamic Studies. – Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and spiritual growth. – Support individual student needs by providing guidance in Tajweed, memorization techniques, and comprehension. – Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and achievements. – Ensure student safety and supervision during all academy hours. *Qualifications & Requirements* – Must be a Hafiz/Hafiza of the Quran. – Prior experience teaching Quran recitation, Hifz, and foundational Islamic Studies, preferably in Canada. – Strong knowledge of Islamic principles, Seerah, Hadith, and basic Fiqh suitable for primary grades. – Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills to engage young learners. –
Must be available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. – Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
