Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Repair and Maintenance Jobs in Bracebridge at Muskoka Timber Mills Ltd

Muskoka Timber Mills (Bracebridge, ON) is looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to manage all repairs and maintenance our our heavy equipment inventory. Current equipment includes Highway trucks & trailers – Excavators, dozers – Forklifts – Bunchers, Skidders – Etc.

Below are the responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

Responsibilities for Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Perform and/or oversee all mechanical repairs of of heavy/mobile equipment
Build a prioritization schedule for maintenance activities in conjunction with production staff and business needs
Monitor and track Preventative Maintenance performance, resource utilization, and work order completion
Ensure all heavy Equipment conforms to standards and regulations for on-site and on-road usage
Work with Procurement and Supply Chain lead to identify and stock critical spare parts to support Heavy Equipment performance and uptime.
Work with the Health & Safety team to ensure all tasks have a robust risk assessment and safe system of work
Create and maintain a safety-first culture by ensuring the safety and productivity of all activities surrounding your work and work area
Work with safety leaders and production supervisors to investigate and report all incidents including but not limited to spills, hazards, accidents, performance, etc

Qualifications for Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Must have minimum 5+ years experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Must possess a valid Class G license
Must possess a valid Class 310-S certification
Must possess a valid Class 310-T certification
Ability to prioritize business needs
Demonstrated ability to be a team player by being open to other ideas, valuing the strengths of others, remaining flexible, shows compassion and is a positive advocate of others
Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet both internal and external customer needs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
