Fort Garry Industries, a trusted name in truck and trailer services, seeks a Heavy Duty Mechanic or apprentice for its Edmonton West Branch. This integral role involves performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers, with minor truck work. You’ll engage in tasks like troubleshooting electrical systems and completing CVIP inspections, ensuring top-notch service and reliability for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Remove and replace brakes, hubs, and seals
• Diagnose and repair electrical and lighting systems
• Repair chassis components and air system parts
• Perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers
• Ensure accurate documentation and quality customer service
Requirements:
• Level 3 apprentice status or higher
• Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Own tools to complete assigned tasks
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Open availability for varying shifts
