Heavy Duty Mechanic Jobs in Nanaimo at Windley Contracting Ltd
Windley Contracting Ltd. has an immediate opening for permanent full time Red Seal Journeymen Heavy Duty and Commercial Transport mechanics.
The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the service team as well as work independently from a field service truck at various construction sites. You must be able to diagnose, adjust, repair and maintain mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, rock drills and our commercial transport truck fleet. Provide detailed information of the work required to perform the repairs and complete all necessary paperwork.
Requirements:
Red Seal Journeymen Mechanic certificate with 5 years’ experience would be preferred.
Must be proficient in the operation of computers and diagnostic equipment.
Must have strong diagnostic skills on electrical and hydraulic systems.
Must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
Must have a valid class 5 driver license with air endorsement.
Follow all safety practices and guidelines and participate in safety meetings.
Previous experience at a heavy equipment or truck dealership would be considered an asset.
Previous experience with CAT SIS and CAT ET would be considered an asset.
