Your Opportunity:
Primary Care Alberta (PCA) is currently looking for a Health Promotion Facilitator II (HPFII) to join the Performance & Improvement (P&I) Department within Public Health, CDC & Screening (PHCDCS). The department supports integrated planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting in partnership with population and public health programs. Reporting to the Team Lead – Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality Improvement, the HPFII will provide monitoring, evaluation, quality improvement and performance measurement support to teams across PHCDCS. Working in close collaboration with team members across P&I, in this role, you will collaborate with teams across population and public health. Key duties may include leading or providing consultation for quality improvement, evaluation, and performance measurement projects; coordinating project planning/program planning processes with stakeholders; synthesizing evidence and information from multiple sources into various deliverables; developing and implementing engagement strategies; developing project plans and supporting implementation. This position is eligible for hybrid/remote work arrangements located anywhere in Alberta and a modified work week schedule. Description:
As a Health Promotion Facilitator II, you will lead and coordinate health promotion, disease and injury prevention initiatives and programs using a population health promotion approach. You will identify behavioural, social, political, economic, environmental and organizational factors that promote or compromise health and recommend evidence-informed strategies to address identified priorities. You will conduct situational analyses, literature reviews, environmental scans and focus groups to make recommendations as part of an integrated program planning and evaluation process. You will manage projects using standardized tools and techniques that are conducive or aligned with health promotion, disease and injury prevention practices. You will collaborate with key internal and external key stakeholders in project or program planning, development, implementation, evaluation and improvement. You will facilitate community and staff engagement and build community and staff capacity around population health promotion priorities. You will evaluate the effectiveness of existing health promotion and disease prevention strategies and make recommendations.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Health Promotion, Public or Population Health, Health Education or a related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of and experience applying various research, evaluation and/or quality improvement/quality management methods. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data. Knowledge of and experience applying the population health promotion model, relevant health promotion strategies, determinants of health, and health equity. Experience in project/program planning, development and implementation. Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into high quality deliverables for a variety of audiences (technical reports, evidence reviews, presentations). Demonstrated success in developing, leading, and managing multiple projects. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a variety of disciplines, sectors and internal and external stakeholders/partners. Demonstrated ability to mobilize diverse groups and build consensus. Skilled in group facilitation, leading effective meetings, and tailoring content to effectively communicate with different audiences. Demonstrated professional experience with critical thinking skills, including conceptual, strategizing, and problem-solving. Demonstrated ability to navigate change and adapt approach accordingly. Experience using virtual and collaborative technology with diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working independently in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Demonstrated experience working with leadership in a health setting. Change management certification and/or experience. Professional record of being resourceful, creative, adaptive and flexible.
