Work Arrangement: Onsite

Work Term: 4 Months (Sept. 2026 – Dec. 2026)

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.
The hourly pay range for this position is $21.80 – $27.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.

Join Our Team as a Health & Safety Assistant (Co-op)!

The HR Program Coordinator will support the Senior Manager by performing a variety of administrative and coordination tasks within a manufacturing environment They will also support collecting and compiling data, as well as assisting in the preparation of environmental and safety-related reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and compile data and assists in preparing environmental and safety related reports.
  • Assist in coordinating training and other health and safety related programs as needed.
  • Updating and maintaining safety related tracking system.
  • Answer employee inquiries about health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Provide support for other health and safety related projects.
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned.
  • What you’ll Need To Succeed:

  • Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Health and Safety or a similar field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills to navigate the Physical Demands Analysis software program.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all written and verbal communications.
  • A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Physical Effort:

    Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

    Work Environment:

    Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
