Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Health and Safety Expert located in the Greater Sherbrooke Metropolitan Area. The Health and Safety Expert will manage workplace safety assessments, develop and implement safety programs, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct training sessions, and monitor safety performance. The role also involves investigating incidents, providing actionable recommendations, and staying updated on industry best practices and legislative changes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Workplace Safety, Health Regulations, and Compliance
- Proven expertise in Risk Assessment, Hazard Management, and Incident Investigation
- Proficient in conducting Training Programs and Developing Safety Policies
- Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Communication Skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Certifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent are highly desirable
- Relevant experience in the health and safety field, particularly within industrial and corporate settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
- Fluency in English and/or French with a willingness to work in a bilingual environment
