Job Overview
Canadian Safety Group is looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team on an industrial project in Haldimand County. This is hands-on safety work at an active facility. You will be the person responsible for keeping workers safe in and around a designated confined spaces. Hours are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM with overtime and weekend shifts available.
Duties
- Set up, calibrate, and monitor air detection equipment across multiple elevations
- Control access to the confined space – track who enters and exits
- Complete all daily permits, logs, and safety documentation
- Participate in morning safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Maintain radios, Blackline temperature systems, and safety equipment
- Perform fire extinguisher inspections, housekeeping, and barricade setup as needed
- Provide Firewatch and First Aid / CPR response at ground level
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction environment or industrial settings with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards.
- Knowledge of OHSA regulations and other relevant safety legislation.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence change across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Effective communication skills for delivering safety briefings.
- Must be proficient with technology and software systems
- Valid Confined Space Entry/Attendant certificate
- Valid First Aid / CPR certificate
- Experience with multi-gas air monitors (preferred)
- Comfortable working at an industrial site and following strict safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail — you will be completing permits, logs, and air monitoring records every shift
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to start at 6:00 AM
Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

- Nanticoke, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
