About the Role
At Groovy Plants Ranch, the Head Grower will be responsible for the propagation, cultivation, and health of all plant material. This role is crucial for maintaining the high quality of our products, from propagation and planting to the retail floor. The Head Grower will focus on implementing production improvements, managing plant health programs, and ensuring consistency across all growing operations. The Head Grower will also oversee the production team to execute produce and manage plant material up to our Groovy standards.

Key Responsibilities
· Grow and Nurture: Oversee the propagation, production, trimming, and general care of all plant material at the Ranch.
· Lead the Crew: Guide and inspire the growing teams, setting the gold standard for plant husbandry, greenhouse cleanliness, and organized production spaces.
· Protect the Crop: Execute a year-round Integrated Pest Management system (IPM) across all in-house stock, purchased material, and growing blocks.
· Plant Care & Preservation: Maintain and preserve valuable in-house stock material for future propagation, diagnose health issues, and manage all fertilizer and chemical applications.
· Minimize Loss: Track and mitigate plant losses and failures with proactive, forward-thinking planning.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 40 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to work on your feet for the duration of your shift with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to climb, push, pull, bend and squat throughout the duration of a shift with or without reasonable accommodation
