Hardscape Foreman – Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hardscape Foreman to lead hardscape installation crews on residential and/or commercial projects. This role is responsible for managing daily job site operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and leading crews to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Established in 1986, we have been in business for nearly 40 years and continue to grow. We continually invest in and stay up to date with the newest tools, equipment, and installation methods to support our crews and deliver high-quality results. A full-time, year-round salary position is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise hardscape crews on daily job sites
- Install hardscape features including pavers, retaining walls, steps, patios, stonework, and masonry
- Read and interpret project plans, layouts, and specifications
- Ensure all work is completed according to quality standards and project requirements
- Delegate tasks and train crew members to improve productivity and workmanship
- Operate and oversee the safe use of modern tools and equipment
- Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Communicate with project managers and/or owners regarding job progress and any issues
- Manage materials, tools, and daily job site needs
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Landscape installation including trees, shrubs, perennials, and related materials
- Complete and oversee final grading to ensure proper drainage and finished site appearance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on hardscape installation experience
- 2+ years of proven crew leadership or foreman experience
- Strong knowledge of paver installation, base preparation, and retaining wall systems
- Ability to read and interpret plans and layouts
- Physically able to perform hardscape work, including kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable attendance and commitment to a full-time schedule
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong work ethic with a leadership mindset
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
