Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Team Member to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. It’s a Team member role where you’ll interact with customers, take orders, cook food to perfection, and ensure every guest leaves happy. You’ll work both on the grill and on the service line, helping prepare customized meals and providing excellent customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items on the grill according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grill area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Interact with customers to take orders and offer suggestions.
- Prepare and assemble food based on customer preferences.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and marinating meats.
- Handle cash transactions accurately on POS System while providing excellent customer service.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Mexican restaurant or any food industry setting is preferred (training will be provided.)
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation requirements.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing menus or recipes.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including morning, evenings and weekends as needed.
