JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Greenkeeper 2 (seasonal April-October) DEPARTMENT: Golf Course Maintenance
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Golf Course Superintendent DIVISION: Golf
EXEMPT OR NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt UNION OR NON-UNION: Non-Union
JOB OBJECTIVE: Perform all given tasks in a manner that contributes to the highest standard of golf course maintenance possible.
THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB ARE:
- Fill divots.
- Perform manual and mechanical raking of bunkers.
- Mow fairways, roughs, greens, tees, collars and approaches with walking mower, triplex or rotary mower.
- Mow fairways, verticut and groom.
- Hand watering
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers in all job-related problems.
- Locate specific areas of golf course and grounds.
- Assemble required tools and equipment.
- Comply with all Columbia Edgewater Golf and Country Club safety and health policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment safely, efficiently and responsibly.
- Raking and cleaning leaves and debris.
- Performing manual labor.
- Work weekends, Long and early hours.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in construction, general clean up, operation of motorized equipment and other duties as required by Manager.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma preferred
LICENSE/PERMITS REQUIRED: Valid driver license
REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to read and understand directions
KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE: Some familiarity with computer helpful for future irrigation system use and advancement.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Landscape or golf course maintenance experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
