Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support AI solutions for geological data analysis and interpretation.
- Utilize and guide the use of electronic, sonic, and nuclear measuring instruments in laboratory and field environments to collect resource data.
- Review, annotate, and validate datasets and sample analyses to improve AI training accuracy.
- Prepare geological notes, sketches, maps, and cross-sections to support modeling and machine learning processes.
- Analyze drill cuttings, mud samples, and well or borehole characteristics such as pressure and temperature.
- Compile and organize operational and testing data for AI training and technical evaluation.
- Participate in remote surveys and project meetings, sharing technical insights with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Geological Technician or related role such as Core Inspector, Geotechnician, or Geological E-Logger.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory apparatus, geological instrumentation, and testing protocols.
- Experience compiling, logging, and interpreting geological data with high accuracy.
- Ability to prepare geological sketches, maps, and technical cross-sections.
- Experience assisting in geological, geophysical, geochemical, or exploratory drilling programs.
- Strong communication skills suitable for remote collaboration.
- Experience in data annotation or dataset preparation supporting AI or machine learning initiatives.
- High attention to detail and commitment to technical documentation accuracy.
